Information about Regionals!

South Regional

Report Time: 11:30am at Holliston High School

When athletes dress alike it creates an atmosphere of class and dignity. it communicates a unified sense of purpose.

Please wear the following to the bus:
1. Uniform tops and skirts with black bodysuit and briefs
(please wear standard boy-cut briefs...NO BIKE SHORTS)
2. Wear your warm up jacket and pants over your uniform
3. Hair needs to be UP in a ponytail with your competition bow.
4. No nailpolish, long nails, jewelry, gum
5. Wear your cheer shoes...do not bring UGGS, you will not be permitted to wear them.

Arrival Time: Approx. 1pm at Taunton High School

Warm up Time: 1:55pm

UPDATES:

MEETING TONIGHT AT 6:30pm! MANDATORY for all FALL ATHLETES and their PARENTS!

1. Warm ups for new squad members need to be paid in full by Thursday, Sept. 10th: $50 deposit paid; $45 remaining balance owed. Checks made out to Thredz Unlimited

2. Choreo Camp payments: $50 deposit paid. $99 balance owed. Fundraising $$ will go toward defraying the cost. Total Final Balance due: approx. $60
a. Installment due: Monday, Sept. 14th (Check made out to UCA)

3. Competition Schedule:
a. Shrewsbury Jamboree on Saturday, October 17th @ 1pm
b. Marlborough Panther Invitational on Saturday, October 24th @ 3pm
c. TVL Competition on Wednesday, October 28th at 6pm
d. Regionals are either November 8th or 15th

Congratulations! and other events

Congratulations to the Panther Cheerleaders for a great performance at UCA camp this summer!

1st Place in the Elite Varsity Division for the Extreme Routine!
2nd Place in the Elite Varsity Division for the Big Cheer!
2nd Place overall in the Home Pom Routine!


Upcoming Fundraising Events:

Thursday, August 20th: Lil' Folk Farm Fundraiser! from 4:30pm-7pm Tell all of your friends, neighbors, and relatives to come and play with the animals at Lil' Folk Farm! $10 Donation to benefit the Holliston High School Cheerleading program!


Saturday, August 28th: Pop Warner Pep Rally Fundraiser! From 6-8pm Thirsty? Buy a bottle of water from the Varsity Cheerleaders and help fund their tuition for choreography camp! Hungry? Buy a goody or two and treat yourselves and the cheerleaders!

Camp Info

Camp:

We are planning on attending UCA camp at Mt. Ida College August 7-10. There is $50 deposit due on MONDAY, JUNE 22nd!! I need to know if you are attending camp, and if so I will need a check ASAP made out to Andrew Yosinoff and sent to:

If you ARE going to camp, we will also be purchasing camp outfits (3 days-worth of clothing) for $95, and the order has been taken, we just need the sizing and the payment by next week. I am working out with Mr. Carboneau the best way to proceed with this...and I will let you know ASAP who the check needs to be made out to...we will need the check no later than Friday 6/26!

The remaining balance of $222.00 is due by July 17th (21 days before the start of camp)

Cheerleading Clinic & Tryout Information

It is important for all the students interested in trying out for Fall 09 cheerleading to be available on these dates. Permission must be obtained from the coach in advance if the student cannot fulfill these obligations.

Tryout Clinics-(to learn material for try-outs)held at Holliston High School Gym. Students should plan to arrive at 2:30sh each day
Monday- June 8th 2:45-4:45pm
Tuesday- June 9th 2:45-4:45pm
Wednesday-June 10th 2:45-4:45pm
Materials to be learned at the clinics: Dance,Cheer, sideline Chant
Required Skills: Split, Toe-touch, optional jump, tumbling skill(anything from a forward roll to tumbling pass)
There will be a progressive stunting review on Wednesday

Tryouts: Friday, June 12th @ 3:30pm Holliston High School Gym


General Information for Parents and Cheerleaders:

Practice Sessions: TBA

Summer Camp: August 7-10 @ Mount Ida college

Costs: We will be conducting fundraising events to help offset the following costs, but each cheerleader will be responsible for all costs associated with being a member of the cheerleading squad. The costs below are approximate.
Camp outfits: $50-$100
Shoes: $50-$65
Socks: $10
Briefs: $10
Summer Camp: $277
warm-ups for incoming freshman:???
Other related costs as agreed upon.

Required Paperwork:
1. All candidates must have a completed Sports/physical form before trying out. These are obtained from the nurse at the middle school or High School.
2. Parents need to sign the application form and candidates need to hand it in on the day of the first clinic. If you need a copy please e-mail Sally Calhoun at sscalhoun@aol.com and she will forward it to you, unfortunately we are unable to attach documents to this site.

Attleboro Snowball Address

Tomorrow's competition is at Attleboro High School, 100 Rathbun Willard Drive, Attleboro, MA 02703. Best to mapquest it from your home address. The final line up has not been set yet, if that information becomes available it will be posted here.
FYI: I have also contacted the HABA webmaster again to request that the link to this site be added to the HABA site which is linked to the Holliston High School web page. Great job today girls, you really looked confident and lots of smiles during the routine! Keep it up!!!

TVL Competition

TVL competition is Saturday, Feb 14th at Medway High School. The doors open at 12 and competition starts at 1pm. Tracey was told the girls are scheduled to go on at 1:40pm(Remember this may change if some teams do not show up for the invititational part or it if gets delayed) The girls have been invited to Fallon's house for a pre-competition breakfast at 8:00am. They will be given a ride from there to meet the bus at the highschool at 9:00am.

Competition update

The girls will be competing this Sunday, February 8th at Bristol Plymouth R HS, 940 County Street, Taunton Ma 02780. Team Registration is 9:00am, Competition Start time 12:00pm. No fans admitted in the building until 11:30am(per notice on MSSAA.org website) Admission fee $5- for adults, $3- students. At this time the competition order has not been posted. Please check this site before Friday evening to confirm bus departure time from the High school and any other updated instructions.
